Ashland SWCD coordinates aerial crop seeding for Ashland County residents. Seeding is typically scheduled for the week after Labor Day and takes place from the Ashland County Airport. Seeding is available for rye, oats, barley, rye and oats mix, or oats and barley mix. Cost ranges from (info coming soon) and are based on seed mix selected and includes both seed and application. Participants in the MWCD cost share program can have the their cost-share rate deducted from their bill (see details below). This program is available to all Ashland County farmers, regardless of whether or not they are participating in the MWCD cost share program. Application deadline is mid August.
