#TeachMeTuesdays

Brought to you by Ashland Soil & Water Conservation District in cooperation with the National Association of Conservation Districts

In 2020, Ashland Soil & Water Conservation District received a grant from the National Association of Conservation Districts to promote urban agriculture within Ashland County. A significant portion of that grant included providing hands-on, science-based agricultural education to the county’s Head Start Centers. With the COVID-19 health emergency and school closings, we are unable to conduct that outreach electronically. Instead, we developed a #TeachMeTuesday video series to share science-based agricultural experiences not only with the county’s Head Start students but also with other schools, teachers and students who are adapting to a new remote learning environment. Thanks to the power of digital technology, those lessons remain for teachers, home school parents, and community group leaders to continue to share and use those lessons.
