MWCD Funds New Interseeder for Ashland SWCD

Ashland SWCD is excited to announce that we were selected by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District as a recipient of a Partners in Watershed grant to purchase a cover crop interseeder for use in Ashland and surrounding counties. The interseeder will be available for use this spring for $5/acre for farmers within the MWCD’s jurisdictional boundaries and for $10/acre for those outside of the boundaries.

New Conservation Program Offers $2,000/Acre Incentive for Practices

Through January 29, Ashland County landowners in the Lake Erie watershed can enroll in ODNR’s new Water Quality Incentive Program and receive and enrollment bonus of $2,000/acre to enroll property in wetland or forested riparian buffer programs.
